Commisioned Histories
For more than 25 years, the GUG has supervised company histories. In doing so, it supports authors, editors and clients in all phases of historiography – from the conceptual phase to the manuscript ready for publication. The projects are manifold: alongside studies concerning particular aspects of the historical development of a company there are anniversary publications that comprehensively document the history of corporations.
Over the years, the GUG was cooperation partner for the Baden-Badener Unternehmensgespräche, the banking house Metzler seel. Sohn & Co. KG, the Bundesverband deutscher Banken (BdB), Deutsche Bahn AG, Diskont und Kredit AG, E.ON AG, Heraeus Holding GmbH, Knorr-Bremse AG, Landwirtschaftliche Rentenbank, Linde AG, Lombardkasse AG, Melitta GmbH, Optische Werke G. Rodenstock GmbH, and Sparda-Bank Frankfurt (Main) eG.
On the basis of its longstanding and multifaceted experience, the GUG can offer a comprehensive array of services from a single source. It creates cost estimates and time schedules, searches for and guides authors, researches sources, designs contracts, selects the appropriate publishing companies and organises the presentation of books.
